Fullness of Life in Lockdown
A Song to introduce the theme for today:
Song 139 – He came to give us life in all its fullness

HE came to give us life in all its fullness,
He came to make the blind to see,
He came to banish death and doubt and darkness,
He came to set His people free.
He liberating love imparted,
He taught men once again to smile;
He came to bind the brokenhearted,
And God and man to reconcile.
He came to give us life in all its fullness,
He came to make the blind to see,
He came to banish death and doubt and darkness,
He came to set His people free.

We wonder why Christ came into the world
A helpless, homeless Child;
We wonder why He tolerated men,
The tainted and defiled.
We wonder why! We wonder why!
The Son of God as man came down,
What does this signify?

HE came to give us etc..

We wonder why Christ came into the world
And let men hurt Him so;
We wonder why the Christ should have to die,
Does anybody know?
We wonder why! We wonder why!
The Son of God as man came down,
What does this signify?

HE came to give us etc..

Prayer
Lord, we know You by many names.
We call you Creator, Sustainer, Saviour,
Friend, Master, King and Sovereign Lord.
Most of all we know You as Love.
We have come to praise You for that love
That holds everything and holds us;
For that love that accepts us as we are
And enables us to become what You meant us to be;
For that love that comes from above and empowers us to begin again.
Lord, as we worship You, may we encounter that love afresh today.
In Jesus name we pray,
Amen

Band: Spirit of the Living God

Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me;
Spirit of the Living God
Fall afresh on me.
Fill me anew,
Fill me anew,
Spirit of the Lord
Fall afresh on me.

A final song to reflect upon:
Song 565 – All I once held dear (Knowing you Jesus)

Benediction
The One we have met here is the one who goes with us.
The Saviour who gives us freedom is the one who will open closed doors.
The Lord who accepted our obedience is the One who equips is for service.
The Spirit who transforms our worship is the one who empowers us for witness.
The Father who pours out His love over us is the One who will love us now
and will love us forever.
Amen.
God Bless You All
