Hi everyone,
Well did you all rush out to Primark or Cheshire Oaks yesterday? No?!!!! Neither did I!!! Why not?…because I think so many of us have realised during these long weeks of lockdown that the things we really want or miss are the things we can’t go out and buy, no matter how many shops might now be open! The things I miss are spending time with my friends, meeting together for worship and being free to visit and hug my family!
But onto some music! Marlene contacted me yesterday to request a song that had been going through her mind over the weekend. The song ‘One life to live’ takes me back many years to when all our grown up children used to sing in the Singing Company!
One life to live
I wonder if you, like me, sometimes feel as if you’re not really ‘living your life’ at the moment? There are so many things that I am still not allowed to do that would normally be part of ‘living my life’! How can I feel useful? How can I make the best of this time? Perhaps for some of you life is starting to get back to something resembling normal – you’ve started back at work or are allowed back in school part time! Maybe some of you have never even stopped working but have had to adjust the way you worked! There’s a saying which I’ve heard during the past weeks;
‘We’re all in the same storm but we’re not all in the same boat!’
This storm, which is hopefully subsiding now will have affected all of us differently. But we remain connected to each other because we belong to the same church family. So let’s remember to pray for each other.

That last song was suggested by Jo several weeks ago.
Our next song I’ve chosen because it always lifts my heart when I sing it. It’s a reminder in a world which at times seems so chaotic and uncertain, that we have a God that loves us, no matter who we are or where we are, and that will never change!
